to state the truth i like hearing others stand points and i'm not offended at all every one is diffrent and thats what makes this forum great i'll admit some times i get frustrated with people jumping on others for everything they do ( you put an arrowana in a 200 gallon you will need at least a 1000 gallon in a week ) and all they have is a 20 gallon planted tank???? you could say i like the underdog but i like the disscusion it good, and people learn. WE should be faster at praising and slower at critisizing our friends.. thats my 2 cents...

I agree there is no flaming here just a good all around adult talk. It seems we are all adult enough to take the strong points. I could offend and be offended back.

I am open minded and even though I may NOT agree I like to read the other side of this issue and I state mine and they read my side and we disagree in the end but we are expressing our side of it.

If you get offended off small stuff like this, discussion forms are not for you LOL

I have worked in law enforcement for 6yrs, it takes a lot to offend me and make me mad. Also because of that I am very verbal and to the point kind of lady. I just say how I think it.

It is called a healthy debate on two different sides. It is things like this we can learn a new point of view. Ya know?

if this was flaming I would of came out with

"You fish killing pig you are going to burn in HELL for what you did! You are the lowest of all humans and you shouldnt even be allowed to own fish......"

No the posts were "I feel it was wrong because..." "I dont agree with you on that because...." "I compare it to..."

As i am sure everyone here knows now it was my little siblings that did it not me, so i do not appreciate some of the comments received. If there was something i could have done to not allow this to happen i would have, but it was done while i was at work not with me standing there letting them do it (i don't want saltwater fish in my pond, or any other fish for that matter). Unfortunatly there isn't really any real way for me to get them out of there once there are in. I was just surprised that after a several hours in fresh water that they were still alive. O and it wasnt my experiment so don`t say it was. Any I didn`t do it for my entertainment so lay off! I have been keeping fish for 5 years, and have a saltwater tank for my saltwater fish. My pond in for the golfish that are in it and thats the way i plan on keeping it.

You could have just cut there head off. not very intresting to put somthing in a gas chamber that takes 24 hrs to work!
Don't put fresh water fish in saltwater and vice versa! It is unethical. BAD EXPERIMENT! - bigspizz

Im a down to earth animal person and I am not a nut though. I have the same feelings on all of it and its pretty simple.

Animals (including fish) should not suffer at the hands of humans and we should not allow them to suffer. Simple as that. Why I am a huge pusher of fishless cyles on tanks. If you use fish, I think you owe it to the fish, feeders or not to do pwc and make it as comfortable as you can for them.

I agree that tossing them into a freshwater pond "just to see" and allowing them to suffer was bad practice Bait or not. Bait is using them to get fish that are food to eat so it is different.

Just tossing them in to suffer for nothing but entertainment and no real use is a waste.

Come on! apples and oranges. Keeping fish, in a home, ALIVE. Can in no way be compared to doing this! Are you crazy? That is something WE don't need to find out. just cause you wonder about something doesn't mean you do it. I have always wondered what **** tastes like....so if anyone has tried it could you let me know how it was so i can finally get some sleep at night!

Even though I am lost as to why you revived this, I will say that I was new here when this was posted, and still trying to "save the world"...Takes a bit before you realize that people will do what they want, no matter what you say. If this thread was posted today, I would have just moved on......
