the videos are proof that they can survive in saltwater, so why are we still debating this part?
how long they live in saltwater is a different story altogether. the only way we'll find that out is trial and error. good luck
let me just point out that mayan cichlids have been spotted breeding only feet away from coral reefs, so only remaining question is "did the eggs hatch?" someone should try, and make a thread on this forum documenting it, as proof that they can or cannot survive in saltwater for extended periods of time.
