aite guys, help me out : )
i havent got any fish for like months...
*but i have high standard i guess :P that mite be why

so any of u guys have any fish that one would expect to be in saltwater but are in freshwater, AND can live healthily in freshwater. i dont want any that are forced acclimated from salt to fresh. i dont want anythin out of the typical brackish section like scat , archer, moray, puffer.

for example, i have an african porgy (Acanthopagrus berda) living perfectly fine in fresh.

what comes to my mind right now that i KNOW can live in freshwater fully ( in order of wantedness most-least)
trevally (caranx sp. )
white spotted grouper ( Epinephelus polystigma)
lutjanus sp. (NOT mangrove jack , those r too aggressive)
lizardfish (platycephalus indicus)
four finger threadfin
not-round-shaped flounder ( something that resembles more of a halibut)
chanos chanos
Pomadasys bayanus

im sure there r more, but thats all i can think of for now.
if u have any of the above or if u think u have something along the time of the ones ive listed, lemme know : )

i'll pay for shipping

^__^ thanks guyz

Just get a saltwater tank

thats a different thing xD cost more money to run a saltwater tank. and saltwater makes my hand tickle-ish too D:

im not trying to get actual saltwater fish that shouldn't be in freshwater cuz that would be harmful for em. just wanna look for ones that LOOK like saltwater ( n most likely have cousins in saltwater)

Have you checked out the different types of Paretroplus sp.? Several species resemble SW tangs.

yes i have :) but i can never find any that are adult size and have fully developed color ( such as the one in the pic) ...

Just how monster do you wanna go? The megalops atlanticus (silver king) can switch back and forth between seawater and fresh no problem. It's the same deal with megalops cyprinoids (indo tarpon). These fish are truly deserving of the title big game, for good reason.
