saltwater newbie attempting a 55 gallon reef

Today I got three frags of some coral called pink pulsing xenia that I think are pretty cool. Heres a vid of it in my tank to show why its called "pulsing" xenia....

My first concern with these new corals is that they seem to not like a lot of flow. Its hard to find a spot in the tank where none of the polyps are battling a current while trying to open and close. Is this something to be worried about?

The peppermint shrimp seem to have become more comfortable with their new home cuz they are becoming pretty bold. When I was positioning the new frags one of them got curious and actually started climbing up my arm. I still haven't been able to get a real good pic...I attached a couple more attempts though.

the pulsing xenia look perfect where you put them and the peppermint shrimp are great little buggers aren't they?

Thanks... yeah, the peppermint shrimp have a lot more personality than I expected from an invert. Don't see them going after my aiptasia though...I might have to use the method suggested by Myteemouse and break out the boiling water and syringe.

What I'm hoping is the answer to my high temp problem arrived in the mail today....an Aquatek 4 Fan unit. If it works like I want it to it should lower the temp a couple degrees down to 78 or 79. Honestly the corals seem to be doing fine in the 81 degrees my tank is now, but I'm going to listen to the experts and get the temp down anyways.

I've got some bugs crawling on my coraline algae that I would like to identify. Waaay too small for pics, but they look like little white worms with small antennae, and they are only on the coraline algae, nowhere else. Could these be something bad??

Since I've discovered the bugs I've also noticed some strange orange spots on my coraline algae. They glow in the actinics as you can see in the attached pics. Does coraline algae sometimes glow bright orange like that or is it something else?

Lastly, I was told today that if I try and add an onyx ocellaris clown to my tank now it will fight with the regular ocellaris I have in there. Is this true? Should I have added them at the same time?

I'm fairly certain its coraline, thanks for the advice though. I have seen a little cyano on one of the tank walls, but my cuc took care of it pretty quick.

Thats good to know, i thought for sure i had some nice coraline just to find out it wasnt.

Crap, the new fans have dropped the temp of the tank the entire two degrees in only an hour. Most of my xenias have closed up....will they be ok?

Not sure on the coral and dont mean to derail, but where did you get the fans from?
