saltwater --- fowlr

freshwater--- community
agressive
oddball
planted
reef is possible
pred tank idunno kinda small.

its kinda small for most of the cool big freshwater fish too
a planted tank may be nice

i think reef and planted tank are the biggest contenders.

but be aware it will be hard to aquascape if the tank is a 55 gallon long. but you can probably get a small tang that would be cool.

my vote makes it 16 16 even.. i voted freshwater although one day, i'd like to try saltwater just for the heck of it.

based on size, i say FW due to the fact it seems there are more options for you to play with, but if it were a 100G+ i would probably say salt...

Bu in all honesty, at the end of the day it all comes down to what YOU want to keep and do with the tank...
