i keep my salinity around 1.023 and the temp stays a pretty constant 78. PH is at or around 8.3, never higher.

I've always tried to keep my saltwater Ph as close to 8.2 as possible. However, not one of you said 8.2. So why have I read that 8.2 is so perfect?
