Hmmm, if this is going to be a constant thing, maybe you should run a chiller along with the heater. This way it can regulate up and down instead of just up. They are expensive, but they are good.
Like running your A/C and Heater to get the temp right.AtomixIGN;630248; said:

Supreme mag drives generate alot of heat. Maybe that's where your problem lies. You also stated the that without the heater on the tank stays warm. Maybe it's a combination of heater,pump,light that's causing your heating problem.
