Croc monitors are modern dinosaurs for me. What a specimen, too

They can be had for well under $1000 stateside! I guess it balances out the steep price tag of Asian arowanas over here haha

All monitors are pretty expensive here, and Germany is one of Europe's best countries for reptiles... Scotland is even worse if you want cool animals.

Seeing this makes me really miss having mine now $6k is definitely a lot of money for a croc monitor! I payed only $500 when I got mine.

EDIT: sorry, I didn't see that you were in Europe. Are most exotic reptiles in Europe pretty pricey like that?

Wild caught croc monitors in the 4' to 5' range are usually what you see for sale,
if you have small ones, like 24" to 36", they are more desirable and people will pay more, but it hardly matters because they grow so friggin fast!
If you have a very large croc, like 8' plus, I would imagine you can get a really good buck for that also, a couple thousand , im guessing.

Agreed. Some things are cheaper over there, most is way more pricey.
