Salvini growth?

Hi everyone! I recently aquired a 1.5 inch salvini cichlid and l would like to know how much time will it take to grow to 3 inches? I am feeding him with flakes and bloodworms. Any imput will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have found, as much as food has an influence on growth, water changes are just as significant.
If you change 50% per week, they will grow much slower than if you changes 50% every other day.

They are very slow growers, but really worth the wait.

Other then good water quality, also other factors help keep growth on track:

-quality diet.
-don’t over feed.
-keep temps lower, mid 70s.
-avoid aggression.

Any stress will slow growth.
