Were your Salvini shy and hid a lot when you first introduced them to their tank? Mine have been in their tank for a few weeks now and they both are very shy. They hide most of the time. They are growing and they come out to eat everything. i was just wondering if this was typical of the species.

Yes, I've found salvini to be quite skittish when introduced to the aquarium. Depending where your tank is situated and how oftern they see you, your salvini should settle.

Mine are still skittish when i walk into the fish house, if it wasn't for the other fish in the tank begging for food, they perhaps wouldn't be so eager to come out.

Thanks for answering my question, Nutty. Their tank is in the living room where there is a lot of traffic. So I guess they will become more accustomed to their new surroundings.
