Salvini - Male or Female?

THANK YOU!! The guys at my lfs are idiots. I don't claim to be an expert, but I knew it was male. As soon as I said that, the guy started giving me an attitude and said he was 10000000% certain it was a female 
. The funny thing is he is the "manager" so of course he must be right. I thought these guys were the smarter ones in the area.
He is about 5"-6".

definite Male but mine have never had that much blue on it.
my females have always been alot more colourful with intense reds on them and i'm almost certain (someone correct me if i'm wrong) the females get a black dot on their gill which is surrounded by a thin blue line. that's usually a dead give away when looking for a M or F
