After about a month of bonding my pair of salvinis spawned. I bought the male about a year ago from a LFS and the female is a F0 from Ira. Since I took these videos the eggs have hatched and I have a bunch of 2 day wigglers. Sorry for the dirty glass, I didn't want to disturb them.

Congratulations! They look like a great pair. My convict cichlids seem to be planning on spawning again.

nice! i've got three juvies in my 75 hoping for a pair. how old are yours?

I don't know their actual ages, but I bought the male at 5" over a year ago. He's about 7" now. I ordered the 4" female this year and put a divider between them until the male stopped being aggressive towards her.

They are very devoted parents; the male launches himself at my face if I get too close, and the female tends to the fry night and day. She hasn't left the right third of the tank!

sweet pair what size tank do they need?

Imo a minimum of 55 gallons or a 40 gallon breeder is required for a pair. Without a mate they can live with other fish too.
