Mine dont need to be separated but I have noticed they are very aggressive for little fish, constantly trying to fight my jag pair who could easily eat the female. apart from that they are great fish males just about 15cm and female is 8-10cm. breed every 2-3 weeks quite easily i just keep my water changes up etc

F1 cool! I would love to see some pics of those. Mine are just lfs buys, but they had great color and I was looking for some smaller ca cichlids to keep(I really want jags but don't have the space). I would go with the long tank, but it is a space issue. I already have 55x2,36,20,10, and 2 gal betta tank. I am just running out of room for tanks until I can convert my garage into a tank room.

They are showing signs of very nice color but still too small. They have no problem fighting any size cichlid
