Salvini vs Jack Dempsey-who will be king

salvini, i have a good reason,

my dad used to have a 9" GT now he was really aggressive he chased the salvini for ages all day long (and all the other fish in the tank aswell, one day the salvini who was around 5-6" had enough and battered him, hes dead now.
 
Hands down salvini. Salvini are much more aggressive than jack dempseys guys, they are like trimac or red devil aggression. I keep jack dempseys with severums. The salvini will win almost every time because:

1.) jaw structure is built for just taking a chunk out of a fish
2.) much faster and they are so intolerant they hit below the belt (bite the fins, the sidess, the eyes they are brutal)
3.) jack dempseys aren't THAT aggressive

Salvini will win every time. I guarantee you. They are scrappy like a convict.

Salvini are mean but I have seen some jack dempseys that needed to be housed alone. Saying they will win everytime is not true. Salvini can hold its own against some jack dempseys with kind tempers but I saw one that was as mean as a red devil. If you touched his tank he would bang his head on the glass and would bite as well.
 
Yeah my male Jack Dempseys a brute, hes the king of the tank with 7" wild festae, 7" Green Terror-male, 2x7"jaguars and a 5" male salvini. the jack dempseys around 7".
its all to do with the fishes personality.
 
Salvini is much like a Raptor in the Fishworld, I actually watch mine hunt in groups it seems. They are definitely little killers without a doubt. He/She will be able to hold it's own, don't worry about em.
 
Just to add to this, my Salvini just decided he didn't much care for my leaf fish, if i wouldn't have caught it a little while after it started i woulda had a dead Nandus Nandus....tore its fins up, gave it a nice bite mark and took scales off. IDK what to do with the nandus nandus now though...

not necessarily true. I've found females can be just as, if not more aggressive then their male counterparts. It depends on the specific fish, but my famale salvini just tears up whoever she doesn't like, and i've seen most males act no worse and a couple of them even pretty peacefull.
 
I would say JD would kill the sal.....but also depends on fishes personality. I have a 5-6in JD that fights like a pit bull...he wont stop into the fish is about dead...(its Crazy)...he almost killed my con and con was bigger at the time!!
I gave con to my bro!!!!!
Last week my JD took a bunch on flesh off my GTS gill.....I might have to remove him...lol
