Agreed, males over 7" are rare but can happen. You could possible do a FM or a Con for awhile, but I am sure one or the other would start to feel their oats. just stick with a 30g and a pair. This is an example of the beauty you will have. I just bought 4 for my 125g tank. Can't wait until they settle down. One of the prettiest c/sa cichlids in the small-mid sized range.
