Nice Salvini! How big do they get?

i read somewhere that they get around 6-8 inches. but don't quote me on that one.

I know that's what a lot of sites say they get but I've read in people's posts in forums they grow 10"+. What's the real scoop on Salvini's max size?

Can be very nasty as pairs so they might have to be alone. I'm sure the breeding has helped their coloration too! I've read they get 7-9" and need 100 gallons but I've never heard of one over 6". I Would say a 55'd work IMO

A male that nice / yellow is very rare - you done good man! In fact, if not for the dorsal fin telltale, you'd think it was a female right away!

What is the tell tale sign?
