OH MY GOD.........

My prayers and thoughts are going out to all you guys in that area.

What a tragedy.

WOW so this disaster is every bit as bad as katrina and the gulf coast hurricane scenes but with fire ! instead of water i think if i had a choice between the 2 evils i would have to pick flood over fire every time. Hope u socal mfk's make it through this with your family's fish collections best of luck to u guys.

its just as bad, just a different style of a disaster. less deaths tho because we can run from it, a hurricane you can not run from, so in a way, i prefer this over flood. but i'd rather not have anything at all like this happen =\

I hate to say it but it looks very much like IRAQ.. alsolutely horror to me.. i would get out of that location and head as far norh as possible..sorry to say this at a time like this ..but relocating would be my top priority when this is over... i would rather have a hurricane then this..at least the hurricane is over after a day.. but this is relentless... horror..

san diego is known for wild fires, its the only kind of offset activities we get here, weather is to perfect so something has to set sandiego off the map.

but honestly, think about it. this is super tragic but how often does it happen? this is the 3rd major fire san diego has seen since like 1970s. yes this is the worst one, but it only really burns in the dry brush areas. if u look at the maps, the heart of san diego and city life is untouched so far. its the more dry areas surrounding san diego thats getting burnt, on top of the fact that san diego was not the main starting point of this fire, we just got unlucky santa ana winds carried it into the city as it started outside our city.

i could not relocate out of my home town city, jus like most katrina victims ended up staying where they are even after such a tragic hurricane.

this incident is just a mix of all possible bad things that could happen all at once.

a fire starts in brush areas.
winds pick up carrying the fire tips over 200ft long and raging like crazy
san diego heat kicks in and pushes temps over 85ish daily during this fire
wind keeps changing from left to right, north to south, and the fire just moves with it.

its not something any city that had these conditions could have really avoided. fires can start in any city, its not like they just started because of the weather

Wow crazy pics... Hope everyone over there turns out ok..
