My prayers are with you all, Ethnics, i've already been thru this with 2 different Aro's, one of which is in your tank, Fu is an old Pro. He already has survived 3 fires, only once did I actually evacuate.
If the house is generally not in danger of burning, like you're a level 2 evacuation, you most likely will lose power. The generator is good unless the air is too smokey and then you have to run the air through wet cloth before putting it into the tank. I used a rubbermaid tote (only had 1 Aro though) and a car adapted to run air into the bag in the tote. If there's anyway you can get a super heavy duty bag, like the one Fu was in when i flew him to you, put the tube into the bag, with fish and clean water, tape it and fill the bag with cool air, cooler air=higher 02. I used o2 straight from the tank.
Bottom line, I wouldn't even move the fish unless your house is a level 3 threat, the Santa Ana winds are really screwing things up. If you have power, freeze some blocks of ice, then if you must leave, put the ice in the tank to keep it cool, they'll be OK I know down to 72F, that's the lowest i've ever had my Aro's. If the air is smokey, tape down the tank with plastic, i know it's risky , but you'll have to guess on time, temp and o2. The stress of moving the Aro's is immense. Fu turned white the minute I had him in the bag, even with ideal temp and o2.
I know what you're dealing with and my heart goes out to all of you. I know how much our fish mean to us. They are pretty tough. Don't risk anyone's personal safety for your fish, I'm not being heartless but you have got to keep a reality check going on in your head. If you have time now, get the tank as clean as possible, if a water change is even an option. They can last longer alone that way.
God be with you all and with the firefighters who are trying to save your homes.
