sand and gravel from homedepot

i currently use playsand(quickcrete) or something in my 135 from home depot. i used 2 bags an it gives me about 2 inches. the sand looks kinda of grayish but when washed and shine on it looks white. you dont need to take out the fish. just wash the sand and slowly lil by lil add it in the tank.
