Sand blowing around

Did I read you have a canister filter? Put some floss in there.

So it filters the water after it gets to the sump? Is the sump water cloudy too?

no sump is clear acutally as crazy as it sounds i think my sand is just too light of my powerheads too strong just continually blowing the sand aroung:nilly:

might have to deflect them off something to reduce the flow like ur live rock. What kinda of powerheads are they?
dont know for sure i just know they are rated 900gph!!!

if you don't have any sponges or prefilters in your sump or canister it could be stirring up suspended detritus and sand making it cloudy. I assume the tank was filled with water when you added your new sand sometimes it can take a few days to calm down especially in a big tank and with lots of flow.

just one word of caution with sponges on your power-heads wait till the tank completely clears or they'll get clogged and your powerheads will die like so many of mine did years ago lol

glad your tank is clearing up for you.
