Sand Bubbler Crabs :D lol

its cool how they send it out and peddle it back with each leg like an assembly line
 
These crabs only feed after the tide goes out, when the sand is damp. If they were to live underwater, they would not be able to filter the sand in te way that they do. A setup with constantly damp sand tgat is constantly rich in microfauna ia impossible to create, so bo they dont sell them.
 
when i went to the beach at my familys house these balls where all over the floor and i always wondered where they came from

damn thats amazing. i though it was hilarious at 00:37 when they randomly start quarreling. its like the big one started creating the sand ball to act normal then attacks.

I'm fascinated with that behavior too. It's amazing how fast they do it! I've heard that walking onto a beach that is nearing high tide filled with these guys is quite the sight.
