Sand filter for outdoor pond

Problem is your using all sorts of stuff that was not meant to be in there. So the backwash will not work. The filter will completely clog and not work at all soon. Pull it apart and set it up with something that will backwash and actually work for that unit.

the back wash does work for about 1/2 day. I guess i will have to pull all the stuff out and try to make some sort of diverter. Also, when I remove the plug from the bottom I dont see any dirt come out. I would figure that if it was full of sludge or dirt I would see it from there.
