Sand Filters

Oh ok then, I always thought sand was for biological filtration due to the high surface area?
OK, so what percentage do I fill this thing with K1? say its a 10L canister - do I get like 7L of K1 ?

Yea 7L would be good for a 10L canister. But the canister should say how much how much sand you should fill it up with (probably one cubic foot) so just replace that sand with k1. The more the merrier
