was actully considering getting a Ray but i fear my tank might be to small for him to grow and that my larger oscar will pick at him if i get one not sure what a good breed/type of fresh water ray would be good to mix with oscars if any

What is the footprint of your 210? The smallest of rays needs a tank at least 30" wide to live in for life...unless you plan on upgrading as it grows. Nevertheless...if you are having problems with waste in your tank now, adding a ray will certainly not help things. They are messy eaters, poop a lot, and require pristine water quality. There could also be compatability issues between a ray and your current stock...including the pleco.

if i did get a ray i was going to get rid of the pleco to my 55 gallon

Footprint means the length and width of your tank. Rays need a lot of surface area to thrive, hence they need a tank with a big footprint.

ugg saddly i gave up on the sand switch to gravel and not getting a ray till a later dat to where i can get the sand cleaned better
