Cichlids are great redecorators. They hate having their houses rearranged. I'm thinking more of trying the sand at least with my jewels. I just don't like the blue walmart rocks in it. Pool filter sand would probably be the cheapest way to try it, the color won't matter as much with the jewels as it would with my jag/freddy mix.
