Sand Issue???

put the sand in a bucket then put water in the same bucket, stir the sand around in the bucket of water drain and continue the same process till sand is clean

+1. I did this with black diamond and had no issues with cloudiness. Just make sure u clean it good.

I bought African Cichlid Sand...Cleaned like it said on bag....Err I'm just gonna strip the sand and clean it again...this Sux

don't bother just let it settle. cloudiness is normal .

Its African Cichlid Live sand from petsmart...It says cut the top two corners off then run hose down one side and allow to flush until water come out clear...I did this but now I have all the sand out and am going to try the bucket method...And perhaps the pillow case method...I don't think the cloudiness is normal I have flushed this sand so much I have to be close to having perfectly clean sand...if it continues I will just through this 60 bucks worth out and revert to gravel Which sucks because the sand look

Get white pool filter sand and u won't have this problem :thumbup:
