so i just bought a 120 gallon tank and im not sure what to use for the bottom btw its going to be a freshwater tank with cichlids oscars.., i was thinking about sand .. but idk, what do you guys recommend?

im setting up my 330 gal and im goin with the pool filter sand. i got the one by quikrete version. $7.50 for a 50 pound bag. its coming along good so far. its got a larger grain and sinks faster. plus PFS is easir to clean before you put in in the tank. u just really need to get the dust off haha. been workin on cleanin 300 pounds today. that hasnt been fun lol

play sand is nice but really dirty. try to find some pool filter sand as it looks nicer and is a bit larger, cleaner and more uniform than the other sand types
