Just curious about the black diamond blasting media...is it safe for bottom dwellers like catfish or is it too rough for them...never felt the stuff before so wasn't sure if it would irrtate a cats belly at all.

OK...thanks for the help...finally looking to buy a house next year and that means I can get my 300g tank i've been wanting forever...just trying to plan out everything and look at options!
I use both black diamond, and PFS mixed. Just make sure you rinse the heck out of it.

Wasn't aware there were glass shards in the black diamond...maybe I will stick with pfs...is it difficult to filter out the glass shards?
Thanks for that info...I think i'll play it safe and stay away from the black diamond since I know i'll have bottom dwellers in my tank.
