In the fish section LOL
I got a question
I have a 37 gallon tank that i am lookin to put sand in has a eclipse filtration system

What is the way to do sand where it doesn't get sucked into and kill my filter and how is it cleaned also with the cleaning wont the sand get in the filter when it un settles
also with the fish in there wont they kick up the sand when they swim?

11 minutes isn't very long to wait for a reply now is it??

Use pool filter sand, its grains are larger than say play sand, so it settles faster. For cleaning you should wave your gravel vac just above the sand, that will stir up the debris and allow you to suck it up.
Put a sponge prefilter on you filter intake if you're worried about sucking up sand.

Burt:)

I find it is also easier if u have malasian trumpet snails in the tank, as they stir up the sand gently and reduce the chance of anearobic pockets forming.
