Sand questions

so no one has tried petco black sand?

I have Petco white and black sand in my 55g the black sand is just as small as any other sand out there. As far as the anaerobic bubbles in deep sand beds go you shouldn't have to worry about it much if you have digging fish like polys. If you're worried about it you can run your hand through the sand once every few months and they'll go away.

No problem. If you didn't have diggers I'd suggest Black Diamond. Way cheaper

yeah but i've heard that has glass in it and i'm pretty sure my polys aren't gonna check before they dig lol

The Petco sand you are talking about is it Tahiti moon sand ? If so I would look for a different kind of sand like spectra quartz,3m or even garnet as Tahiti moon sand is very light, it can easily be stirred up and get in filter impellers and do some real damage to equipment
