I'd Recommend a Giraffe Cat or Lungfish....both sift through the sand for food, i watch mine do so daily. The snails will probably get eaten over a short period of time
Eartheaters would be great to watch but not with the green terror. I use to have a colony of geophagus altrifons in a 125 and what a fun tank that was to watch. Oscars could give any eartheater a rough time also. My trumpet snails came in with some malaysian wood and I can't seem to eradicate them they are a real p.i.t.a!LOL

Really, the pet shops around here that do have an MTS infestation, if you look at the cichlid tanks there are never any in there. They are usually very thick in like the Guppy and Neon type tanks, but I never see them in the aggressive tanks. I added the MTS thinking they could stir up the sand a bit but the Cons kept them on lock-down on the surface 24x7. Any time they came out of their shells and started to move, the Cons were all over them. If one did make it under the sand, the cons would spot the sand moving and dig the snail out. I ended up taking them out after a week cause they couldn't really do any good in there and I figured they were just gonna slowly starve to death locked in their shells. For that tank I ended up getting some Peppered Cory Cats that keep the sand sifted pretty well.
