sand substrate colour suggestions

I really think it depends on the fish you plan to keep.

Well like I said red tail black shark, a few rasboras, a couble loaches and possibly some tiger barbs in the future but that I'm not positive of.

Well im in the same spot not knowing what colour of subtrate to use i was thinking of mixing black and white together to make like a salt and pepper look lol what do you guys think. But not sure how that would look. So maybe i will go with carib sea instant aquarium subtrate crystal river 20lbs for $29.99 each
 
Does anyone know how large a African Cichlids blue in colour groe to. i have been offered a few and want to make sure they will fit in my 72 or 55 gallon tank when there large and if there aggressive, semi aggressive or are they not aggressive at all. please let me kow asap ty

Even if they do all you need to do is stir it up. Might be good to do seeing you need to stir the sand up occasionally to prevent nitrate pockets in the sand. Maybe a 1 to 1 ratio?
