Thanks, I ended up with white pool filter sand. It's pretty damned white. Most of the surface is going to be covered with moss, only a couple areas with the sand exposed, I was trying to up the contrast. I know what you mean about cichlids digging, my other tank is all over the place. This is going to be a discus tank though, so hopefully I won't run into that problem. Plus the mounds will be covered by moss woven into mesh. Any suggestions on anchoring the mesh in the sand?
