Sand Substrate, here I come!

Was it WHITE POOL FILTER SAND? i found 4 leading brand over here and they are all diff in some way color to whats else is in them. I wanna see a pic!
 
i bought mine from dr fosters it came pre-washed and it was still really couldy for like a week.. but now it looks good
 
Looks good. Hopefully soon I will go through the same tedious process you went through:( I hope it will look half as good as yours. If it does it will be worth the work.:D
 
Looks awesome - that is a beautiful tank.

I switched a 20g and 5g to pfs recently... the stuff I had was white with some black flecks, and even though I rinsed it, it really didn't require a cleaning.

Love the look of it, and siphoning during water changes really isn't hard like I expected... I don't suck up sand at all.
 
i didn't clean my sand either. just dropped it out of bag as close to water as possible, and water filtered itself clear in about 1-2 days...
