Sand Substrate Pictures!!

Post pictures of the different types and help me make up my mind!

I'm trying to decide between pool filter sand, tahitian moon black sand, flourite black, or any other type of black sand there is for my new 65g.

It'll also be a good comparison/reference in general of looks people have gotten with the different types. Post other types of play sand or whatever too...just any type of sand.
 
There are lots of sand threads in this section to search for. Type in "Lapis Lustre" in the search box if you want to find the best sand threads :D I'll get you a pic of mine when I get home.
 
This is "Industrial sand" I would assume its similar to silica sand but it contains little black metal specks, iron I belive.

I searched all over, there are a bunch of small threads scattered about but I was trying to get a big compilation going of PICTURES of the sand once all set up. Maybe its just my bad search skills but I couldnt find much about black sand specifically either.

Its usually 5 pages of text/question posts with 1 or 2 pictures... even the other thread that attempted to make a sand sticky failed and only had a few pictures of actual tanks set up with labeled types of sand.

GET THEM PICS IN!!! :D
 
im thinking about using sand in a large tank. i would love to see pics. does anybody have a prefrence of sand vs gravel?
 
High Desert Earth Sand
Very white. After a while larger pebbles/grains rise to the surface which i dont particularly like and there are too many to remove. $5 per 50lb bag @ home depot. NEEDS LOTS OF RINSING

Will do. We have too many stickies in this section as it is so doubt we will see a sand sticky any time soon.
