taihitian moon sand doesn't cut up the ray? I found mine to be sharp

I have had her for a little over a month now and she is showing no signs of irritation. I was prepared to switch it when I first put her in the tank, but after talking with other ray keepers that have TMS...they have had no problems...I thought I would just leave it for now. Eventually I will switch it... when I move her to the bigger tank.

how do you clean the sand? do you just stir it up every now and then? does it matter how many inches of sand you put in the tank?

Sand generally keeps debris on top, not trapped within like gravel. So one of two things happens: 1-you have enough flow and the debris keeps moving until the filters grab it or 2-you don't have enough flow and you get a few spots where debris collects in little piles that can be easily seen and removed by holding the gravel vacuum over the pile of debris.

I stick the end of the Pyhon into the sand and suck it up...when the end of the python is full of sand, angle it and the sand will slowly fall out and any debris will get sucked out. What this does is keeps everything nice and loose as well...otherwise the sand will compact like cement. You do end up sucking some of the sand out....but I have plenty

Such a tough choice. Anyone have pictures of tanks with 3M colorquartz? I've found a couple pictures scattered about and so far I like that the best but its hard to find apparently.
