I ran the cascade 1000 on my 55 alone until my fish grew then I added more filtration. If your stock isnt insane it should be plenty.

If that penguin the one where you can adjust the intake volume with the little lever up on the intake tube? if so I would just open that up and run it so it decreases the suction from the bottom inlet.

iv removed the adjuster thingy so i could shortn up the tube and just put the inlet up higher near the top of the tank just did this not 30 seconds ago its running now no problems

Looks sweet. I saw the pics of the girl and I was gonna ask what am I looking at the girl or the tank. Then I saw the last pic and got a huge grin on my face and laughed out loud. THERE SHE IS!

I love sand makes any tank look good I wish I knew about it 15 years ago.
