Although my bichirs are small 2-2.5" i want to change over to sand, i hate the way gravel looks and how the food just seeps through the cracks. I wanted to know what u guys think looks better for polys, (currently have two senegals).

Black Tahitian Moon Sand
or
PFS (Pool Filter Sand)

BTMS, makes the polys green with envy. Literally

Do an advanced search of "experiment" under the polypterus section. Sorry can't help ya, Im too tired. Night :)

I love the look of a black substrate, but it also seems to make the colors of the fish pop out more too. Light/White substrates tend to make them look faded. Just my experience.

now to find this BTMS around me in one of my LFS....hope someone has it at a good price.

If I remember correctly, petco/petsmart tend to have it from time to time too. They're also pretty good about ordering things if you talk to a manager, if one of those is an option for you.
