i want to switch my gravel to sand. im going to get some black sand to day from the local pet store. I was wondering the best way to rinse the sand out

If you can find a filter media bag that is fine enough mesh to hold it, try that. Otherwise fabric works well too....like and old T shirt or something similar.

It'll take forever but you could use a bucket and a hose

Thanks the pillow case worked great. I finished taking the gravel out and the sand is in. The tank looks great and ill have pics when the water kinda clears up.

Bucket and a hose take forever go with a cheap pillow case if your aquarium is large... I used the bucket and hose technique for my first tank I set up with sand which was a 10 gal. and it took some serious time to get the water clear!
