what i did was buy the play sand from lowes and cleaned it reallllllly good... i just put it in a bucket and kept the hose flowing in it. its only 3 dollars and its white/beige.. just put your filters pretty low with a good circulation. the circulation should kick the poop up and keep the sand down. the filter will clean it when its kicked up

how easy is pool filter sand to rinse, i use silica sand it was pretty clean already
