Sao Fran Kelberi must see!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My Kelberi are nearly twice as thick as my azuls. Its incredible the amount of food these guys can put down. I think I'm going to have to seperate from the zullies soon...competition is slowly down my azuls I fear.

James,
Those kelberi are looking HOT! Mine are showing intense gold and are getting very deep bodied. I am really glad that I was able to get a bunch of them when I did :)

Same here. I am very sure in couple months they will all outgrow the azuls..

yeah my SA kelberi gorge themselves and are growing fast. the azuls never completely blow up there stomachs with food but are keeping pace or growing faster and my Rapps Kelberi are tiny and not eating as much as the SA ones and are actually small enough to be eaten by the rest just praying they don't!!

It's strange that you guys are having this issue. Everything I've read about people who kept these two sp. together in the past has said the kelberi were not aggressive enough to keep pace. I don't think you guys will have issue. Great to hear how robust these guys are.

I, too, have read of Kelberi being notoriously picky eaters. I'm shocked with mine due to the simple fact that they eat everything. They pound rosy minnows, blackworms, bloodworms. I'm going to try to get him familiar with the taste of pellets in the next 2-3 weeks. I'm actually planning on adding all my juvies to my big tank when they hit 5"/

My Kelbs hammer broken up hikari food sticks. This has helped them outgrow a few of my azuls.

all my wild caught fish got treated with prazipro x 1 when I got them.
Rapps' second batch was picking eaters at the beginning, but after the treatment their
appetite double.... just my own experience. Not in position to tell others what to do >.<
