and no these turtle are fed fish especially the snaping turtle his diet mainly consists of fish like 12cm
so forever separted
 
well update is the pond is amost cycled and barramundi has been taught to take any pellet but the jar eats his prawn peices and his hikkari pellets which a new bag was purchased today but neither likr live food except barra he take fish and pellets but prefers pellts he always eats peets not live feeder and the jar hates feeder doenst eat any live food lol
 
Glad to hear your nearly cycled turtles can't wait to see ya pond finished with the mini beasts in it , id stay clear of live food for the jar anyway mate keep him in the pellet and prawn while you can , if he gets to used to live he mite stop eatin pellets then its problem time gettin him back in them again mines been a bloody nightmare and will still only eat one type of pellet (no good if your in a rush or feeling bit lazy and you've git to start defrosting prawns and muscles lol)
 
I've recenty had to give my softshell turtle (terry) to a mate who's got big turtle tank , he was getting a bit big for my tank and ate my pollini cichlid ambush from under the sand I think he used to try it all the time , have you ever kept turltes in with fish or it always been seperate ?
 
yea i had i with my managrove jack but they started to eat him i have had him wil silver sharks eel tail cats and silver perch but then they learnt how to eat fish ol so i gave them to my uncle whos has a huge pond
 
except the silver sharks they went to another tank well one the other got eaten
 
My kids wanted me to put him in the big tank with the jar and other beasts but I thought he mite get killed so he's having the time of his life niw in a 6x2x1.5 turtle tank he's got musks and few others not sure what , you think he would have got killed in my aro tank ? he's about 7" across his shell , im not putting him in just curious
 
mayby i reckon idunno i only know aussie turte ut most fish with turtes get eaten might work i seen it done in small envirments
 
I've seen them in with big fish on YouTube but mine likes the taste of fish now and although he can't eat anything in my big tank think it mite Kickoff and not realy worth trying , plus if he bites a chunk off somethings tail ill be pissed off
