arnt they called caimen kilers in south america cause when the caimen bites the they wiggles and slice up his mouth and stomach killing him
 
I've never heard that but I can believe it the spikes on the sides are ruthless always worried about getting one in the hand when they lurking about , other than that they really peaceful fish

I prob have then seen them all lol , irwinis have got same spikes on sides , how's your fish ? My jar tried to eat all the food I put in last nite had to hand feed the jag few muscles so he got some

my mate decided he doesn't want his baby jags back because the ones at his place are constantly brawling with each other. So I put my lot in the main tank with the jar. Last nite I saw the jar running about with the smallest one in his mouth.... guess he didn't find the hiding spots soon enough

my jar and my jag are best freinds and the jar is 21cm and the jag 7cm they dont go any where without each other
 
the size difference between my jags and toga are about the same as yours, but from the get-go the toga wasn't impressed with roommates and quickly chased them into the hiding spots
 
Sounds like your jars gona be like mine Steve welcome to my world ( of loosing lots of fish looking for tankmates lol ) , turtles im thinking either your one of the lucky ones with a placid jar or your gona come home one day missing a jag hahaha hope this is not the case and they live together in harmony
