That's what ive done mate , had pots in past but they do get annoying after while , ive got a big centre piece of bogwood similar to the one in vid and trapped plants in and around it looks good not started to root to wood yet though , these new leds mite kill it off when I change over so mite have to go plastic unless I payout for quality leds

Also helps prevent dropeye , ive had quite a few water lettaces they all got toasted by my lights being too close to water surface though

I thought the actual cause/s of drop-eye were unknown. Regardless, I can't ever recall seeing a toga with it (jar or lei). I've seen it on plenty of silver aros though.

ive never seen a jar with it either to be fair Steve not worth the risk though so ive always had something floating about my tank either real or fake

ive seen 1 case with a lei had drop eye

I'm sure there's the odd case here and there. Could be battle marks or banging up against the lids maybe that cause it
