Its happened a fee times now mate it don't bother me too much when he looses a scale anymore , there always seems to be a new one growing underneath at his size now , bit of salt or and melafix to stop infection and he's fine , lost a couple of fish in my grow out this week think its too hot for them its roasting weather over here atm more like your climate James without bondi beach lol 
so its like 30 to 35 celcious haha well i just picked up a 27 inch short fin eel for the pond witch my silver perch are going in haha since no heating needed but then i might not be able to put a murry cod in but all well eels and perch still pretty cool
good size eel. did you catch him or go to lfs?

Not quite that but its hot mate apparently it was hotter here than Miami yesterday lolllll , wish it was like this all time my heaters are hardly on if at all , short fin eel ay nice find im staying out the lfs's this weekend need money for my hols
sounds like you've got things kinda sorted. lol I'm running around like a headless chicken right now - in the middle of juggling work, my new rack, and new semester for uni... gonna be a close call if I can get it built by the end of the week haha
