Hey I’m getting a new tank that is 6x3x2.5 and I’m wondering if I can put a Saratoga leichardti in it? Any help would be good thank you.
Ok. I can get a larger tank but can only fit a 7ft is that a good size tank I can keep one in long term?It would be temporary grout, until the Saratoga hit close to 36", then need to be moved to something much larger.
A 7 foot tank for an active and territorial 36" fish is not an acceptable tank long term, no.Ok. I can get a larger tank but can only fit a 7ft is that a good size tank I can keep one in long term?

Fair enough. Any other fish you recommend for a 6x3x2.5 tank that are relatively big fish like oscars?
Thanks, if I can find a giant gourami around my area might have to pick it up.African butterfly fish are arowana cousins but only 5 inches.
Otherwise in a tank that size you may find wolf fish interesting. Hoplias curupira or malabaricus are large, interactive, and predatory.
Dovii also can live in a tank that size, bigger and meaner than oscars.
Giant gourami is also an option.
