At that size I would personally feed a 1 mm pellet. Geos are designed to sift small food particles, even larger Geophagus up to 9-10" do very well on a 1 mm pellet. Also keep in mind that pellet sizes tend to vary with manufacturers, I have seen 1mm that look more like 2mm, and vice versa. With geos less = more.
The smallest NLS cichlids and garlic were both popular when my geos were smaller. It's very satisfying to watch them take gulps of sand to eat the little pellets.
yeah they should be big enough to handle a variety of foods , but I would let 1mm be the upper size limit .
Alright thanks guys... And one more question, what fruits do they eat? I heard they eat fruit too.
