I think the dwarf pikes that you saw at Wet Spot were C. compressiceps. They have yellow fins and a striped pattern. I know they had them in stock for quite a while because that's where mine came from. Now they're off the list and sveni are there, which are also striped as juvies but they don't stay small.

The compressiceps are really rough on each other for their small size, so be sure they have plenty of hiding spots. I got four and they massacred each other in a 55. The next time I think I'm thinking about ordering those, I'll just wad up $100 and flush it down the toilet. :(

You are 100% correct. I found a pic on my phone I took of the species name to go back home and research them but never got around to it. Thanks. Sorry your didn't work out Ryan that sucks. They have beautiful caudal markings from what I remember.

Hmmmm ... the only one I can think of that doesn't have that show that only as a stress coloration off the top of my head is .sp Xingu ... and if that's what they are, I'll be insanely jealous.

Nope, I am probably just wrong on memory. (that happens a lot).

Compressiceps. Last I checked, they still had a good number on hand. ;-)

EDIT: Sorry, didnt see Ryan's reply.

Just NLS pellets. Nothing fancy. They get treats every now and then but nothing too crazy. Thanks you :)

Lovely looking leucos, I had a group before but sold them as they had deformed mouths (lips stuck out considerably further than normal). Another friend has a similar issue with his, so I'm guessing it's a genetic thing from what ever mass-produced Asian fish factory they've been imported from. Shame really, looking at yours makes me want some!
