Abalios Dan.You should know though as soon as you remove the aggressor, likely the next in line will take it's place either until you cut down to 1 or keep a group to spread the aggression around. I keep 8 in my group. I was pulling my hair out when I only kept 3 (1m/2f).
You may to expand the numbers of a given species to a group and cut back on the number species themselves and things will calm down.
I wish I could keep Satanoperca, but I think my water is too hard/alkaline.JacobWhitley;4511455; said:Eartheaters are Devil fish they killed one of my Festae fry i wanted to take it out and bite its head off
, IME the Satanoperca genus is one of the most peaceful cichlids out there. I don't mix them with Festae though, or any fry for that matter.. julian270;4512124; said:Wow brother they look nice!!
JK47;4511421; said:Thanks Colin! We need to get you into the Satanoperca genus. You know one of the best looking spotted Satanoperca are found in the Atabapo right? For when you upgrade your biotope.. Just sayin..![]()

Makes me sad about mine
Interesting that you have the same thing going on with the similar sized fish. Mine and my first Uaru were bought together from a member on here and they were best friends. I couldn't put the Uaru in a live planted tank so I had to drop it in another tank for a while and they didn't re-establish quite the same bond when re-united, but they were always friends. The red lip preferred her company to that of any of the other satanoperca in the tank.
