I have the 48"satellite l.e.d.+on my 120 thats 5 feet long. Does a great job, I like the color adjustability, can really tune it to make your fishes colors really pop

Good to know will I was a bit worried it wouldn't be bright enough , have you got the ramp timer with yours ? Do you know anything about the dusk till dawn setting ?

not sure if I should get the one 48-60 for a 150 gal (6ft) or two 36inchers....if I go with two can they both be operated off of one remote ? like if I switched it to one of the dynamic modes with both strips change at the same time ?

Yes they both work on one remote. I have just 2 x 48" on my 350 gallon that is 8'x3'x2'. Here is a pic with them about 3/4's up in brightness:

Haven't tried the disk till dawn..I don't use the storm setting either...Afraid the lightning flashes will send the fish into seizures. Haha

Do you think one 48-60 would be sufficient for a 6ft tank ?

I suppose if you had it high enough off the water level on full power It would be bright enough ?

For it would if raised some. Some like really bright and some don't. I'm kind of in between and these allow you to control that. These will be what I use on all tanks.
